Tally to ERPNext
migration, done right.

A clean, reconciled cut-over from Tally to open-source ERPNext — masters, opening balances and history migrated, GST configured, on infrastructure you own. Live in 6–10 weeks.

What we migrate

Everything that matters, reconciled.

A migration is only done when ERPNext ties out to your Tally books. That reconciliation is the point of the engagement.

Masters

Customers, suppliers, items, and the chart of accounts mapped cleanly into ERPNext.

Opening balances

Ledger and stock opening balances migrated and reconciled to your Tally trial balance.

Transaction history

The history you need for continuity and reporting, brought across and verified.

GST & compliance

GST tax templates, e-invoicing (IRN + QR) and e-way bills configured for India.

Integrations

Bank feeds, payment, and any third-party connections re-wired around ERPNext.

You own the stack

Deployed on infrastructure you control. Source, data and runtime stay with you.

How the migration runs

A phased cut-over, low risk.

We de-risk the move with a clear sequence and an optional parallel run, so you are never flying blind.

Tally to ERPNext migration — FAQs

Will we lose our Tally data when we move to ERPNext?
No. Your Tally company stays intact as a historical archive. We migrate masters (customers, suppliers, items, chart of accounts), opening balances and the transaction history you need, then reconcile against your books before go-live — so nothing is lost and the numbers tie out.
How long does a Tally-to-ERPNext migration take?
Most SMEs complete migration and go live in 6–10 weeks, depending on data volume, the number of modules, and customisation. Data migration itself is a phase within that — we scope it precisely in the initial assessment.
Can you migrate opening balances and reconcile them?
Yes. Opening balances, ledger balances and stock are migrated and then reconciled against your Tally trial balance and stock summary, so your ERPNext opening position exactly matches your books on cut-over day.
What about GST and compliance after migration?
ERPNext is configured for Indian GST — tax templates, GST invoicing, e-invoicing (IRN + QR) and e-way bills — as part of the migration, so you stay compliant from day one. See our GST e-invoicing guide.
Why move from Tally to ERPNext at all?
Tally is excellent accounting, but operations outgrow it — inventory, manufacturing, CRM, HR and multi-branch workflows end up in spreadsheets and separate apps. ERPNext brings them into one system. The full reasoning is in our ERPNext vs Tally comparison and migration guide.
Do we own the ERPNext system after migration?
Yes. ERPNext is open-source and self-hosted on infrastructure you own — source, data and runtime stay with you. Zero licence fees, no per-seat charges, no vendor lock-in.
