Is Commera ready for a live store?

It is in beta: v16.0.0-beta.2, released 3 October 2026, and it runs on Frappe and ERPNext 16 only. It is actively developed, and our rebuild of a 59-page store found most parts working. We say which of your parts need a step or an add-on before you commit, and we keep the store upgraded as it moves to stable.

BWH Tech, a Frappe company in Jagdalpur, Chhattisgarh. It is open source under AGPL-3.0, with their payments and shipping apps under MIT. We are Frappe specialists who set it up, host it and support it; it is their product, not ours.

Commera or Medusa: when do we choose which?

Commera when your stock, prices and orders live in ERPNext and you sell one catalogue online: the store runs on ERPNext itself, so nothing is copied. Medusa when you need your own design, an app, shops and marketplaces on one engine, or a very large catalogue: it posts into the same books. The chooser above weighs your answers.

Can we move from Shopify or WooCommerce?

Yes. Products, variants, images and customers move into ERPNext, and Commera serves them; old URLs redirect to the new pages. If you would rather keep Shopify, we connect it to ERPNext instead, and orders and stock sync between them.

Does it take Razorpay, UPI, cash on delivery and Shiprocket?

Yes. Razorpay covers UPI, cards and netbanking; Stripe, Telr and Tabby are there for other markets; cash on delivery has its own fee and waiver threshold. Shiprocket quotes rates at checkout and books the shipment from the delivery note. Cashfree is not supported yet.

Are GST invoices made from the store order?

Yes. The order becomes an ERPNext sales order and invoice with India Compliance's GST templates, so the tax on the invoice is the tax at checkout. Business buyers add their GSTIN through a GST address form today.

Can business buyers order on it?

Partly. Bulk order by part number, hidden prices with a request for quote, and quotations in the customer's account work. Minimum order quantities and a buyer's own inquiry list need a small add-on, and deep B2B ordering is where Medusa fits better.

Does it work in Arabic?

Yes. The storefront switches between English and Arabic by URL and lays out right to left, and Telr and Tabby cover payments in the Gulf.

What does a Commera store cost?

It depends on your catalogue, the add-ons from the check above and whether we host it. Commera itself is free and open source. On a call we turn your answers into a written scope; with Build first you see a pilot store on your own catalogue before you pay for it.

What happens to our changes when Commera updates?

Your theme and add-ons live in your own app, beside Commera, so an update does not overwrite them. We test each Commera release on a copy of your site before it goes live.
