What this flow is

Dealers and distributors buy at their own prices, often by phone or WhatsApp, and then ask when it will ship and what they owe.

Here the dealer's order is a sales order that takes its rates from the dealer price list. It's picked, delivered, billed and paid like any other order, and each step is a record your team and the dealer's statement can see.

Screen by screen

Each step is a real ERPNext screen in the demo company. FlowMentor points at what to fill in.

  1. Sales Order

The customer's confirmed order: who it's for, the items at price-list rates and when it's due. The next documents are made from it.

  2. Pick List

The warehouse's list of what to pick for the order and from which warehouse, made from the sales order.

  3. Delivery Note

What leaves the warehouse for the customer. Submitting it takes the goods out of stock.

  4. Sales Invoice

The bill: what the customer owes for the sale, posted to the books as income when it's submitted.

  5. Payment Entry

Money received or paid out, set against the invoice it settles, so the balance shows what's still owed.

Inside the demo company

Mith Demo Traders, a made-up company that makes and sells kettles and toasters. It isn't GST-registered, so its documents carry no tax.

The order is from Nashik Dealers, in the Dealer customer group, at Dealer price-list rates; you take it to payment by bank transfer. The dealer portal, the scanner and the WhatsApp messages are in MithUniverse only.

You're signed in as a demo visitor. Nothing is emailed, and what you make is removed 15 minutes after you finish.

A guide on every screen

FlowMentor is our guide app for ERPNext. On each screen it points at the field to fill and the button to press, one step at a time, so you can finish the flow without training. It runs on the real screens, not a video.
