What this flow is

An enquiry comes in by phone, chat or email. Someone has to own it, find out what the customer wants, price it and send a quote, and when the customer agrees, turn it into an order.

Here the enquiry is a lead with an owner. It becomes an opportunity listing what they want, the quotation is made from that at price-list rates, and when they say yes the sales order is made from the quotation, so nothing is typed twice.

Screen by screen

Each step is a real ERPNext screen in the demo company. FlowMentor points at what to fill in.

  1. Lead

A possible customer, with an owner and the source it came from, so whoever follows up knows the history.

  2. Opportunity

A qualified enquiry: what the customer is interested in, ready to be priced.

  3. Quotation

Your offer, made from the opportunity with items at price-list rates, ready to become an order when they say yes.

  4. Sales Order

The customer's confirmed order: who it's for, the items at price-list rates and when it's due. The next documents are made from it.

Inside the demo company

Mith Demo Traders, a made-up company that makes and sells kettles and toasters. It isn't GST-registered, so its documents carry no tax.

The enquiry is already a lead with an owner, and the quotation carries a discount on the whole quote. A manager's approval is explained on screen; you submit the quotation yourself. Email is switched off, so no quote is sent, and the WhatsApp chat is in MithUniverse only.

You're signed in as a demo visitor. Nothing is emailed, and what you make is removed 15 minutes after you finish.

A guide on every screen

FlowMentor is our guide app for ERPNext. On each screen it points at the field to fill and the button to press, one step at a time, so you can finish the flow without training. It runs on the real screens, not a video.
