Compare

Open source vs proprietary — the honest 2026 read.

Side-by-side comparisons of ERPNext, Medusa, and WordPress against the proprietary alternatives Indian mid-market operators actually evaluate. Each page carries the long-form guide plus the service offer for the move.

How the comparisons are written

Editorial, then service.

Each comparison on this hub has two parts. The long-form guide on the blog carries the honest feature-by-feature read, written from first-hand implementation experience. The service page on /compare carries the service offer — the case for moving (or staying), what the engagement looks like, and what it costs. The two are deliberately distinct so neither has to pretend to be the other.

Where the right answer is to stay on the incumbent, we say so. The decision is not about the open-source option being better; it is about which cost model, which data-ownership posture, and which team expertise fits your business.
