What this flow is

Counting stock often means closing the shop or the warehouse for a day, then fixing the books afterwards.

Here the count goes into a stock reconciliation, from a barcode scanner or by hand, and sets the system's quantity to what's on the shelf. The difference posts to the stock ledger beside every other movement, while you keep trading.

Screen by screen

Each step is a real ERPNext screen in the demo company. FlowMentor points at what to fill in.

  1. Stock Reconciliation

Set the system's stock to what was counted on the shelf; a barcode scanner can type into it.

  2. Stock Ledger

Every stock movement in one list, so the count's adjustment sits beside all the others.

Inside the demo company

Mith Demo Traders, a made-up company that makes and sells kettles and toasters. It isn't GST-registered, so its documents carry no tax.

A count two kettles short is entered for you; you submit it and see the adjustment on the stock ledger. The phone scanner is in MithUniverse only; the screen has a barcode field for a scanner.

You're signed in as a demo visitor. Nothing is emailed, and what you make is removed 15 minutes after you finish.
