From Employee Checkin to Attendance, on the real Frappe HR screens of a demo company, with a guide on each step.
Employee Checkin
One check-in or check-out by an employee, with the time it happened.

Field staff start their day at a customer's site, not the office. A check-in should only count from the right place, and a manager should be able to review it.
Here the field check-in is an employee check-in like any other, and it becomes the same attendance as a punch at the gate, so field and office staff are paid from one system.
Before and after
| Without it | With it |
|---|---|
| Field staff message 'reached' on WhatsApp | A check-in recorded with its time |
| No proof of where they were | Location captured with the check-in |
| Field attendance kept apart | The same attendance as office staff |
| Managers chase timesheets | Managers review check-ins on screen |
Each step is a real Frappe HR screen in the demo company. FlowMentor points at what to fill in.
Employee Checkin
One check-in or check-out by an employee, with the time it happened.
Attendance
The employee's day marked present, made from the check-in.
Inside the demo company
Mith Demo Traders, a made-up company that makes and sells kettles and toasters. It isn't GST-registered, so its documents carry no tax.
Your demo employee's field check-in is entered on screen. The phone's location and selfie are in MithUniverse only, and the manager's review is explained on screen.
You're signed in as a demo visitor. Nothing is emailed, and what you make is removed 15 minutes after you finish.
And what each of them gets from it.
Field staff
Check in from the phone at the site.
Managers
Review their team's check-ins.
HR and payroll
One attendance record for everyone.
FlowMentor is our guide app for ERPNext. On each screen it points at the field to fill and the button to press, one step at a time, so you can finish the flow without training. It runs on the real screens, not a video.
The demo shows the plain flow. In a real project we set it up to how you work.
